This site is about the family of my dad Douglas M Estep aka Mack.  It is named  because the Estep family owned what was called Estep Ridge in the Bradshaw and  Paynesville, WVA areas.  My grandpa was William Riley Estep II who Married   Florence Collins.  I learned that my family is possibly 
 descended from a Cherokee Chief called Open Gate who was forced to follow the  Trail of Tears to OK.  Along the way his daughter Annie Terry was born.  She  grew up and married Cornelius Estep.  I am researching to confirm that story.   Email me pictures you would like added to the sight along with relationship  info as well as any name or current info corrections.
